BNPB berhasil padamkan 71.274 hektar lahan gambut di enam provinsi
BNPB mencatat kebakaran telah melanda 72.008 hektar lahan gambut di enam provinsi, dengan 71.274,29 hektar telah berhasil dipadamkan dan sekitar 734,81 hektar masih dalam penanganan. Enam provinsi tersebut yakni Kalimantan Barat, Riau, Kalimantan Selatan, Kalimantan Tengah, Sumatera Selatan, dan Jambi. Pemantauan terus dilakukan melalui patroli udara dan darat berdasarkan data hotspot dari satelit, karena karakteristik lahan gambut memungkinkan api kembali muncul di bawah permukaan meski telah dipadamkan.
