Ketua Umum PMI Jusuf Kalla menyatakan PMI menyalurkan satu juta masker kepada warga terdampak erupsi Gunung Anak Krakatau untuk melindungi masyarakat dari paparan asap dan abu vulkanik. PMI juga melanjutkan operasi kemanusiaan di NTT dengan fokus pada kebutuhan dasar, pendidikan, dan kesehatan, serta mengoperasikan lebih dari 100 mobil tangki air untuk menghadapi kekeringan di berbagai daerah. Tahapan selanjutnya, PMI akan membantu proses pemulihan dan rekonstruksi pascabencana bersama pemerintah.
