Abdul Latif Yelipele, Ketua PCNU Kabupaten Mamberamo Tengah, memilih pulang ke Papua Pegunungan setelah puluhan tahun di Jakarta untuk berdakwah memperkenalkan Islam di wilayah minoritas Muslim. Dari empat mushala yang ia bangun, lebih dari 300 warga setempat memeluk Islam melalui bimbingannya.
