Pengamat ekonomi Herry Gunawan mengkritik rencana Menkeu Purbaya yang meminta Danantara menyetor Rp120 triliun ke kas negara sebagai buffer fiskal 2026 karena dianggap merusak tata kelola dan mengancam stabilitas keuangan Danantara. Ia menegaskan laba Danantara sekitar Rp145 triliun dan jika dipaksa menyetor Rp120 triliun, Danantara akan rugi serta mengabaikan kewajiban pencadangan risiko investasi dan akumulasi modal sesuai UU BUMN. Herry meminta Menkeu menggunakan mekanisme internal bersama Badan Pelaksana Danantara untuk merumuskan formula rasional, bukan menentukan angka secara sepihak.
