Rapat paripurna DPR RI menetapkan RUU Pemerintahan Aceh sebagai usul inisiatif DPR dengan persetujuan seluruh fraksi. Sebelumnya, Badan Legislasi DPR telah menyetujui revisi UU Pemerintahan Aceh yang mencakup 27 ketentuan perubahan, termasuk penyesuaian konsideran terkait implementasi Nota Kesepahaman Helsinki serta penyempurnaan definisi mukim, gampong, kelurahan, dan perubahan kewenangan pemerintah.

Revised philosophical basis letter b reads that Aceh special autonomy implementation of Helsinki MoU must be optimized for Aceh development and welfare.
Revision covers refinement of mukim and gampong definitions.
Revision includes changes related to kelurahan (urban villages).
Revision includes changes to government authority provisions.
All political party factions in DPR gave approval to the Bill.
The Bill constitutes revision of existing Aceh Governance Law.
