Presiden Prabowo Subianto meminta Kapolri menyerahkan daftar 8 korporasi yang sedang diproses terkait kasus Kebakaran Hutan dan Lahan (Karhutla) di Kalimantan dan Sumatra, karena ia menilai kemunculan lahan sawit pasca-kebakaran mengindikasikan unsur kesengajaan. Prabowo menegaskan akan mencabut izin perusahaan tersebut, termasuk HGU, dan menyerahkannya ke Kementerian Kehutanan, ATR/BPN, serta Satgas PKH. Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit melaporkan sudah ada 200 laporan polisi terkait Karhutla dengan 138 tersangka, termasuk 119 pelaku yang sengaja membakar lahan dan 18 orang yang lalai.
